Price-check, filter aisle

I've got a Della Tofala A2 that I got as part of my initial setup, and I've not used it for the last 7 years. An almost-local brewery is making me an offer on it (Hi Larry!), but not having any experience with filters, I have no idea what it's worth.

Assuming it's in decent shape, what do think is a fair price? (Not including some of their award winning beer of course.) Just making sure neither of us gets the short end here.

Scott, I assume that is a Della 2sq meter, horizontal leaf DE filter. If so, I did own one once: bought used (good condition) for $3,200, sold several years later needing some minor repair for $2,500. Hope that helps your decision making process.

The engineer in me wants multiple data points...Anyone else?

If it's new old stock -- (never used, sitting in the brewery collecting dust), I'd charge $4K for it and let the buyer haggle a bit.
