Brewery Process Engineer - Wastewater Treatment, Utiltiies, and Packaging
Stone Brewing Co. is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to manage our Wastewater Treatment, Utilities Operations and Packaging Operations by supporting and troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and programming/operating system issues as well as undertaking new projects. Duties include but are not limited to: Operate and manage the Brewery Wastewater treatment process and the team and optimizing performance of overall system and control systems, managing the process and automation systems in packaging and utilities, becoming proficient at navigating and enhancing existing control systems, working with engineers and managers to modify programs, sequencers, and logic, developing Technical Operating Procedures (TOP's) for all automated processes, and providing quick response to system issues that impact production quality and/or quantity. Project work includes identifying and researching new opportunities for processess and instrumentation (including purchasing and installation) and developing and implementing automation systems and instrumentation for new projects.
The ideal candidate will have a degree and strong background in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering and a proven track record in hands-on operation and management of process flow systems and utilities operations as well as at least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of all aspects of waste water treatment process including theory of operation, safety, maintenance, record keeping, and permit and testing requirements. Excellent mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with transfer systems, pumps, valves, refrigeration and solids separation. Must be able to display extreme proficiency in PLC programming.Computer literacy, competent in internet and Microsoft software (Word and Excel). PLC programming ability desired. Class 3 waste water operators certification or higher desired.
