POSITION: Maintenance Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Brewery
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
GRADE: 16
REPORTS TO: Maintenance and Engineering Manager
SCHEDULE: Second shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) Monday-Friday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions and repairs, specifically the bottle line equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
• Communication between shifts and proper reporting of completed tasks.
• Operate various types of tools & equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure a safe workplace by complying with and promoting safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop area, including participating in 5S efforts.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of prior maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work flexible and extended hours required (including weekends).
• Ability to prioritize jobs and record accurate data.
• Ability to operate in a team environment and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Tow motor experience, preferably certified.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
• Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds.
• Must be able to bend and move around heavy machinery.
• Must be able to climb stairs throughout a shift.
