Packaging Line Mechanic

Essential Functions in Supporting Our Mission:
• To assist with the performance of bottling line changeovers and assist with the maintenance and support of all bottling line equipment, including operational assistance.
• Maintenance of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and all other mechanical aspects of bottling lines.
• Performance of preventative maintenance on bottling equipment.
• Assist with the performance of bottling line changeovers to accommodate different products.
• Learn to train bottling line personnel in proper machine operation.
• Be responsible for managing safety related items for all machinery.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Previous bottling line or packaging line maintenance experience preferred.
• Background in fabrication, welding, electrical and/or other related mechanical fields preferred.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions and take direction.
• Problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical areas.
• Ability to respond to frequently changing production pressures.
• Ability to handle numerous projects in progress at one time.
• Good communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to comprehend electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic blueprints, schematics, diagrams and manuals.
• Ensure preventative maintenance procedures occur accurately and routinely.
• Repair, adjust and replace defective machine parts.
• Flexible to work evening and overtime shifts when needed.
• Work closely with management to resolve problems.
• Work with contractors to monitor and complete projects within facility.
• Stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs. continuously, reach over shoulders, normal hearing required, normal vision required, eye/hand coordination, finger, wrist and hand motion.
