Block 15 Brewing Company in Corvallis Oregon is now hiring. Be a part of one of Oregon's unique brewing operations. This entry-level position will consist of brewing, cellar work, barrel work, and special events.. Training will occur under our brew master who has over 17 years of experience and experienced cellar staff led by an OSU Food Science and Fermentation graduate. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual. Block 15 is Brewer owned and operated with strict attention to quality beers, barrel maturation, and adventurous brewing.
This is a part to full time position depending on season and events. Pay will begin as hourly based on experience.
The right candidate must have one year brewery experience or education in fermentation science, be safety-minded, efficient, quality-focused, have a great work ethic, and be a team player.
Cellar Duties include but not limited to: kegs cleaning & sanitizing, racking, yeast propagation, tank CIP, raw material handling, software information input, barrel racking, cleaning, and filling.
Brewing: Work with raw materials in wort production following our recipes and techniques.
Special Event Duties: setting up and breaking down for events such as brew fests, bottles releases, and other gatherings. Be able to represent Block 15 Brewing in an enthusiastic manner.
The right candidate will be able to:
-Trouble shoot and problem solve
- Lift over 100 lbs. repeatedly, climb stairs, haul kegs, wrestle barrels, give multiple high-fives.
-Be a Self-starter and good at multi- tasking
- Have an experienced palate and advanced sensory evaluation skills.
About Block 15 Brewery: Our 7bbl brewing operation consists of 23 tanks, a cool ship, and over 160 oak barrels in two separate cellars. We brew a standard line up of 7 beers for our pub and over 50 additional seasonal beers. Located in the heart of down-town Corvallis Oregon.
