Firestone Walker Brewing Company is seeking a Mid-Atlantic Sales Manager
Firestone Walker, the current champion mid-size brewer of both The Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup, is seeking an exceptional sales person to manage our portfolio of highly acclaimed beers in Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey, Maryland, DC, and Virginia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the beer industry, with an advanced comprehension of the distribution process and all facets of retail sales strategies. A passion and understanding of craft industry and superior knowledge of beer styles and the brewing process are requisites.
The primary focus of this job is to work with our wholesale partners to gain distribution, increase sales, and manage our brewery/retailer relationship within those accounts. Some activities of this position include hosting promotions, working festivals, POS management, shelf position management, the ability to hold meaningful distributor-level meetings, executing wholesaler inventory and sales analysis, as well as public speaking at beer dinners, sales presentations, etc. It is not primarily a street level "work-with" role; you will need to be able to make intelligent management decisions in a variety of situations and work independently to achieve our market goals.
Job requirements:
• Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook (VIP a plus)
• Strong business writing and mathematical skills
• Social media savvy
• Physical lifting of 35 pound cases
• Flexible schedule with evening work, overnight travel and weekend special event duty
• Valid driver's license w/ clean record
• Prior beer distributor or brewery sales experience
