POSITION: Shift Brewer
The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company is a Microbrewery and Brew Pub located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Situated in the town of Canmore, the Grizzly Paw Brewing Company has been in operation for over 15 years and has recently expanded its brewing operations to include a 20,000 square foot landmark brewery and future distillery. We are looking for a highly engaged individual to join our brewing team and must have a love for fresh craft beer.
Expectations
Reporting to the Brew Master, the brewer is responsible for the daily tasks associated with brewing, cleaning and packaging of both beer and soda.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must be able to multi task, lift loads up to 25kg repeatedly during the course of the shift
• The ability to work with others and work alone, shift work is an expectation
• Brew in both our pub and new production facility located in different areas of Canmore
• Packaging and bottling of beer and soda products required for retail sale
• Work in safe manner and ensuring all health and sanitation standards are followed at all times
• Competent operation of all brewing equipment including; grain handling, brewing vessels, keg machinery, filter and packaging equipment
• Ensure all quality standards are followed and company recipes are adhered to
• Must be able to work in confined spaces, hot and cold environments with
long days during peak business volumes
• The ability to ask questions and seek guidance when required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
• 3 yrs. professional experience in a production brewery of at least 4,000hl.
• A formal education in brewing from a recognized educational facility
• Experience in the hospitality industry a definite asset
• Proven knowledge of all brewery operations in a busy environment
• Must eligible to legally work in Canada, assistance with a work visa can be provided for selected candidates
