  • Plastic Kegs

Would like to hear more about safety concerns on plastic kegs. I am in Kiev now and my clients want to go plastic and I still worry...

    Kegs

We currently use both plastic and stainless kegs. We have about 300 plastic 1/2's in circulation. Honestly the only difference we have noticed is durability. If you are using a distributor the plastic are going to get beaten up. Everyone knows the abuse a keg can take from a dist. Broken chimbs and a few that have split. The plastic kegs are equipped with a pressure crack release system. If over pressurized the device will split the keg safely across the bottom. Plastic kegs are obviously less expensive and are significantly lighter. If you can afford the stainless i would go that route.

If your looking for stainless i will have 400 brand new american sanke 1/2's for sale next week. $120 per keg x 24 per pallet = $2880 plus freight.
