Tübinger Microbrews, a small craft brewery owned by a German and an Irishman in Chile, is about to expand and inaugurate a brand-new brewery site.
We are currently looking for a qualified, hands-on, young and flexible Head Brewer for the new brewery as of February 2013.
*Location: Pirque, ca. 30 miles outside of Santiago, at the foot of the Andes.
* 20 brl Brewhouse
*Packaging: both bottles and kegs for distribution. Additionally, a brewpub/restaurant is projected to be built on site as of 2014.
*Co-workers in production: 3-5
*Responsibilities:
-General Supervision of brewhouse and fermentation in all steps of the brewing process: Mashing, lautering, boiling, whirlpool, fermentation, maturation, bottling and cleaning (CIP).
-Training of new brewery staff members.
-Creating new recipes, choice of ingredients, production of yeast colonies, lab anaylisis.
-Implementation of a filtering unit.
Basic Spanish skills are desired, but not essential: language courses can be offered.
Initial salary offered: 2,000 USD net per month, which corresponds to current average pay offered to young university-educated professionals in Chile.
