Chapman’s Cider Company is a startup brewery in Angola, Indiana (http://www.lakes101.org/) with a new 20/100 BBL system (Craftwerks). We will open in early Summer 2013 and are fully funded and looking for an experienced and passionate brewmaster.
We offer competitive salary, company stock ownership, and cash incentives for bringing our distinctive product to market. We will be one of two craft brewers in our area and will be distributed through our wholesaler.
The right candidate will possess the following:
• Start-up / launch experience
• Understanding of brewing and cider fermentation science
• Will be able to consult during brewery construction
• Packaging operation experience
• Proven production of consistent, high-quality cider and beer
• Experience and passion for new recipe development
• Mechanical aptitude - Knowledge of machinery and systems
As the Brewmaster for Chapmans, you will be responsible for:
• All brewhouse operations
• Documentation of brewing activities
• Cider transfers, filtration, and carbonation, and cellaring
• New recipe development
• Pre- and post-cleaning, and sanitation of all transfer lines and ferment vessels
