    Shmaltz Brewing, America’s largest, smallest, fastest growing, most award-winning, and still the only Jewish / Sideshow Freak-themed Brewing Company, is looking for a full-time Sales Rep to join our tribe to cover our Midwestern sales territory.

    The chosen candidate will be responsible for promoting SBC products, while developing, guiding and maintaining strong retail, wholesaler, and customer relationships across a large territory, including: Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, and Ohio. The ideal candidate would be based in Chicago, currently our largest market in the region. Availability to travel is a crucial and mandatory part of the job – only those willing and able to travel repeatedly should apply.

    As a small company, each of the Shmaltz Sales staff is expected to wear a variety of hats, allowing her or him to gain experience in many areas of the industry and to make a direct impact on the growth and success of our dynamic enterprise. We’re looking for someone with a vision to make Shmaltz Brewing a career. With our small but growing operation, you’ll be getting in on the ground floor – but with 16 years of company experience as a foundation. If you want to sell great beer and get to see the best beer spots in the Midwest over and over and over – this is the job for you!

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • 100% focus on selling products and increasing market distribution in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, grocery/liquor/convenient stores) through individual visits and distributor ride-alongs.
    • Gather and help process orders from each wholesaler, and manage and track inventory on an ongoing basis.
    • Maximize use of point of sale materials.
    • Organize, promote, and implement promotions, tastings, demos, and waitstaff/bartender education in all types of accounts.
    • Set and track quarterly and annual growth goals with wholesalers.
    • Actively monitor and participate in various social networking platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and coordinate event promotion with Shmaltz’s Marketing Coordinator.
    • Follow up and report appropriately with SBC’s National Sales Manager.

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum two years of relevant sales experience (beverage industry experience preferred, but not mandatory).
    • Must love craft beer.
    • Familiarity and passion for the Jewish and Freak show communities a plus.
    • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and social networking.
    • Ability to operate both independently and in a team environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and stay incredibly organized and self motivated with a very hectic schedule.
    • Willingness to work flexible and extended hours as needed (including evenings and weekends).
