    The River Company Restaurant & Brewery, Inc. is a family owned local restaurant located in beautiful Southwestern Virginia. We have developed a name for ourselves through our local raised beef and innovative craft beers. Billed as Upscale Casual, the restaurant boasts a fabulous dining room, full service banquet facility and award winning brewery.

    We are currently looking for the right team-oriented individual to lead our Front of House staff.

    Front of House Manager Duties:

    - Develop and manage Front of House operations to optimize sales, maintain a loyal customer base, and ensure customer satisfaction.
    - Oversee all Front of House staff related issues: training; scheduling; and supervising.
    - Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and community involvement.
    - Verify POS receipts for cash/CC payments and tips. Handle and deposit cash.
    - Maintain a daily dialogue with owners regarding all business, staff and general information.
    - Communicating with brewer about upcoming beers and tap schedule.
    - Working with brewer to creatively promote new beers and events.
    - Coordinating, staffing and organizing events with events manager and brewer.
    - Maintain daily cleanliness of restaurant and organizing regular cleaning and maintenance.
    - Keeping detailed records of customer complaints, employee write-ups and other daily occurrences.

    Qualifications:

    - Minimum 3 years management in food and beverage industry with demonstrated and increasing levels of responsibility in operations and strategy.
    - Knowledge and promotion of health and safety protocols including TIPS and food safety rules.
    - Knowledge of the craft brewing industry is a plus.
    - Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading, and speaking.
    - Excellent interpersonal skills with high professionalism. 

    - Ability to accomplish projects with little or no supervision. 

    - Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
    - Proficient using MS Word and MS Excel; Micros POS a plus. Social media knowledge a plus.
    - Strong organizational skills.
    - Demonstrate excellent team leadership skills.
    - Salary and benefits dependent on experience.
