Citizen Cider is a cidery located in Essex, Vermont. We are dedicated to the craft of quality hard cider-making using only whole fruit. Our hard ciders range from dry to sweet and utilize aromas derived from specific apple varieties as well as, but not limited to, unconventional yeasts.
We are looking for interns that want to be part of a young, energetic company where quality, hard work, mutual respect, and community are among our core values. It is expected that a successful internship will transition into a paid position.
Strong applicants should have, or be pursuing, an education in Enology, Chemistry, Microbiology or related fields. At least 10 hours per week are needed and hours are flexible.
Specific duties include analytical testing of cider from press to the bottle (pH, TA, nitrogen, sugar, sulfites, etc.) as well as general cellar tasks. Some heavy lifting may be necessary. Attentions to safety and good communication skills are highly valued as well.
