Craft Brewer seeks responsibilities as Brewmaster / Head Brewer / Manager of Brewing Operations at an established Eastern or Mid-West US craft brewery. Also available to consult on new or expanding craft brewery ventures.
Over thirteen years comprehensive professional brewing experience, including seven years as Brewer and Production Manager at a 5Kbbl/yr production brewery, and six years as Brewmaster and Manager of Brewing Operations at a multi-facility 3.5Kbbl/yr Brewpub Group.
Responsibilities have included all aspects of craft brewery operations; recipe formulation; training & supervision of brewery staff; maintenance of plant equipment; design, build-out & installation of major plant equipment, facilities & process systems; development and implementation of process improvements; development and implementation of production plans & process schedules; documentation of all process procedures and operating practices.
As Brewer, developed all product specifications, processed all production on 15 and 20 barrel multi-vessel brewing systems through all hot-side & cold-side operations, performed routine lab work, maintained production batch records, cleaned and maintained equipment, ordered, received & warehoused raw materials, and engaged in product research & development. Also responsible for filtration, packaging, yeast management & plant sanitation.
As Manager, lead development and/or expansion of three different craft breweries, including facility design, specification-purchase-installation of process & support equipment, and management of ongoing operations. Recruited, trained & supervised a brewery staff of 3 individuals. Participated in marketing and promotional activities.
