More About Devils Backbone Brewing Company:

Devils Backbone Brewing Company was founded in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Nelson County, VA. Here, precision of process and subtly complex flavors are proud cornerstones. “Intensity of flavor is not equal to quality of flavor,” is Jason Oliver’s mantra (he’s our Brewmaster). This philosophy has helped us win back-to-back championships are the Great American Beer Festival, along with 27 awards from the most well respected beer competitions in the world.
We currently operate two breweries: the Basecamp Brewpub is a brewery and full service restaurant in Nelson County, VA, about 45 minutes southwest of Charlottesville. This is our original location, and today serves as our pilot brewery where we develop our newest brews. The Outpost is a state of the art production facility capable of brewing 40,000 BBLs annually. It is located in Lexington, VA, an idyllic Shenandoah Valley town and an amazingly pleasant place to live and work. We’re an hour from Charlottesville, Roanoke and our Base Camp in Nelson County. Richmond and Washington DC are within easy reach. Amazing Blue Ridge Mountain hiking and biking trails are right outside our door, not to mention rivers for kayaking or tubing and a great local music scene.
