Gathering of Brewers

I have been approached by a third party with a view to organizing an event where home brewers and other beer fans can get together with Brewers from Northern and Central California, taste a couple of their products and have a chance to ask questions. The tasting session would be preceeded by a brewers only dinner so you would get a chance to sit and socialize with your industry colleagues. The inital plan is to hold the event in the East Bay at a venue that could hold 300-400 patrons.

I would just like to get an idea of how brewers would feel about an event like this, what could be done to entice you to attend.
