Deschutes Brewery in Bend, OR is looking for Lab Techs:
Our Quality Assurance department is hiring for 2 Lab Tech positions: 1 Graveyard from 8:00pm to 4:30am; 1 Day shift from 10:00am to 6:00pm. These positions will be responsible to meet the needs of the QA Department by assisting in Packaging and Brewing Lab operations. Duties will include IBU analysis; inspection of incoming raw materials; in-line instrumentation adjustment; bottle line QA checks; analysis on QA instruments to include gas chromatograph, spectrophotometer, alcolyzer, pH meter and titrator; data analysis and report writing. REQUIRED: College degree in Chemistry or Biology with preference given to a degree in Fermentation or Food Science, experience in a team based production environment with preference given to experience in production brewing, lab instrumentation experience and safety standards, strong self/time management skills, PC proficiency with Microsoft Office software. $17/hr base with $2.25 additional per hour for graveyard shift differential.
