Deschutes Brewery, Bend, OR: Assistant Packaging Manager: Will oversee the timely completion of Packaging runs for a 24 hour operation with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency. Required experience: minimum 5 years experience leading direct reports in a food & beverage packaging environment, ability to motivate and develop a team, strong knowledge of OSHA regs and GMP practices, demonstrated experience of aseptic packaging procedures, preventative maintenance, experience with quality control plans and strong mechanical aptitude. The successful candidate will have effective communication and leadership skills, a high level of organizational skills, demonstrated problem solving skills. Physical requirements call for the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. repeatedly, bending, twisting, kneeling and standing throughout the work shift. Starting salary, $54,000/yr.
