Maintenance Technician: Allagash Brewing, ME

Allagash Brewing needs an experienced maintenance technician to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.
Primary tasks include troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of all production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and safety practices of Allagash Brewing Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment in all areas of the facility, including brewhouse, cellar operations, and bottling.
• Follow a preventive maintenance program, change oil in gearboxes, lubricate and do visual inspections on all equipment.
• Repair or replace motor starters, contractors, push buttons, sensors and circuit breakers as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

• A minimum of a 2-4 year Technical Degree or an Associate degree in an applicable technical field.
• Technical experience with packaging equipment to include fillers for bottles and kegs, Labelers, Case packers, and other packaging equipment included on automated packaging line.
• Must have a technical/mechanical background with 5+ years of experience sitting up and servicing packaging equipment.
• Must have the ability to perform advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• The ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blue prints.
• Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• The ability to work flexible hours to support, line startup, CIP’s, and changeover.
• The ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and collaboratively and dynamic environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Genuine enthusiasm for craft beer

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 55 pounds.
• Able to climb and move ladders up to 40 feet.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
