  • Threaded keg spear tool

Anyone out there with threaded keg spears know it can be a pain to tighten/loosen if you don't have the right tool. Which we didn't have until I realized that the round end of a water heater element socket fit into the top of the spear. All I needed to do was cut 2 notches in the socket to fit over the tabs in the spear and bingo! Threaded spear tool.

Hope this helps some people out there.

We got a tool from PKA, plastic keg america. It cost about $100 but it works great.

Gopher Kegs took a socket and machined to notches in it to fit over the tabs. They sell them for $25.
