I currently have a 1 barrel batch of Wheat that went into the fermentor today using a Kolsch yeast. I plan on brewing a second batch (different style same yeast) within the next few days. How soon could I dump some yeast to repitch into the other fermentor? I am guessing my first batch will still be very much in the primary stage of fermentation when I want to brew the second beer.
I usually repitch the yeast after I cold crash and collect but have never done this process while in the primary stage. Are there any concerns or reasons why it shouldn't be done? Is there a better day (timing wise) to do this?
