How do you guys track yeast as it passes through your brewery?
We run out to 10-12 gens per pitch and build a pretty clunky excel spreadsheet tree, which is great for visualizing the data and seeing how the yeast moves from tank to tank, splitting and growing, but terrible for any actual data management and data crunching. I like this so I can watch our time and performance and decide where to harvest and what yeast to "dead end" but its never as smooth as I want. Anybody have a good method of organizing the info?
