    Stone Brewing Co. is in search of an exceptional senior manager who will develop and lead a world class comprehensive, proactive reliability and preventative maintenance program across existing and future breweries.

    Only applicants who reside or are willing to reside in the San Diego area will be considered.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive reliability and proactive maintenance program across all brewing operations, including system development, staffing and management, integrated production scheduling, metrics, budget/costs and reporting.
    • Develop and implement supporting equipment, parts, MRO, spare parts lifecycle, vendor and inventory management program, documentation, systems and operations.
    • Provide leadership to the Maintenance department by supporting team member development.
    • Develop cross-functional teams to guide and manage the operation and vendors.
    • Identify and implement capital or other projects designed to increase reliability, capacity, efficiency, productivity and safety and minimize non-planned, reactive activity and downtime.
    • Work with engineering to commission, support and set up maintenance programs for all new capital equipment installations.
    • Provide strategy, direction, budget, investment/ROI, metrics and plans for expansion and additional production sites.
    • Develop standardized program, root cause & FMEA models and reports to ensure ongoing process improvements, risk identification, metrics, visibility and closed loop learning (e.g., design modifications).
    • Ensure team member safety, OSHA, Stone Brewing Co. and other code compliance in all activities such 100% LockOut/TagOut procedures, documentation, confined space entry, personal safety equipment, etc.
    • Develop formal standards for maintenance practices and SOPs in all brewery operations
    • Mentor key players and develop systems to ensure ongoing process improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Strong leadership, team member, and staff/team development and motivation skills.
    • An effective manager with strong execution skills that is entrepreneurial, astute, and has a passion for getting into the details where appropriate to make effective decisions and drive results.
    • A flexible and agile person that recognizes what and when ‘good enough’ is and is willing to draw line in the sand to get started with and improve upon. Able to quickly assess without complete information and drive forward progress under ambiguous circumstances.
    • Big picture thinker, strategic, but able to distill functions and business interactions into tactical/detailed process and workflows in order to drive improvements and efficiency gains. Effective demonstration of analytical skills, change management, and financial acumen.
    • Solid grasp of release, product and project management in a complex, high volume (project, program) environment. Practical at all times (in order to minimize workloads across the organization).
    • An effective and persuasive communicator with outstanding presence and presentation skills that constantly strives for simplicity and clarity.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    • Engineering degree required, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineer degree preferred and a
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience demonstrated results implementing and managing reliability and maintenance programs in food/beverage plants, breweries.
    • Demonstrated experience and familiarity with CMMS, ERP and inventory management systems developing and driving change adoption of them into the standard operations.
    • Demonstrated results managing multi-million $, complex projects, programs, portfolios, infrastructure, vendors and high performance teams.
    • Experience using Reliability tools such as Pareto analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
    • Lean/6sigma certification or experience preferred.
    • PMP certification, PMI equivalent credential/training and blackbelt or greenbelt training/certification desired or a combination of demonstrable equivalent experience/training.
    • Proficiency with project management tools including Microsoft Project, SharePoint, etc.
    • Experience w/ Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred or other ERP systems.
    • Experience with and development of CMMS systems.
