    About the Opportunity




    The Training and Development Manager plays a key role in the department’s onboarding training program for employees. The Training & Development Manager is responsible for owning, monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of the department’s training and development. The Training & Development Manager is responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all operators and technical employees.


    Ingredients To Be A Successful Training and Development Manager:


    Ensure all employees (Operators/Brewers, Leads) receive proper training to be successful in the job role.

    Responsible for the successful onboarding of all new department employees as it relates to job competency

    Work with management, supervisors, and employees to understand work situations requiring training.

    Ownership, direction and guidance of required training to ensure all employees receive the proper developmental training.

    Develop needs assessments to determine gaps and create necessary training programs to close the gaps.

    Create and maintain Individual Training Plans (ITP) for positions within the Department, revising as job roles changes. Establish and maintain a three year training plan for the department.

    Develop needs assessments to determine gaps and creates necessary training programs to close the gaps.

    Create On the Job Training (OJT) Lesson Plans.

    Write materials for new training programs; review, evaluate and modify existing and proposed programs; recommend changes as needed.

    Plan, execute, and validate through mastery demonstration all required training within the Department.

    Develop and implement all supporting training materials, including but not limited to presentations, job aids, user manuals, and training assessments.

    Assess department wide developmental needs to drive Department and Brewery training initiatives.

    Identify and develop appropriate training solutions for each training topic.

    Actively search, creatively design and implement effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance.

    Create trainer development programs and coach employees involved in training programs.

    Prepare all communications regarding training programs, offerings, etc.

    Serve as the point of contact for any training related issues.

    Coordinator the Performance Management process (30-60-90 day and Quarterly reviews) with Supervisors/Managers and HR department to ensure training targets are achieved and maintained

    To Be Mixed With:


    Required:

    8-10 years experience working in a training role

    Previous experience in a Production environment, preferably in packaging or warehouse.

    Proven ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships.

    Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.

    Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change.

    Experience creating training plans for production employees.

    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Experience with presenting in front of large groups.

    Proven ability to prioritize and make knowledgeable, quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.




    Desired:

    Experience delivering training programs to groups of all sizes.

    Experience developing and executing training plans

    Experience developing training materials

    Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to analyze information to make process improvements


    Physical Requirements:


    The overall nature of the position requires light physical exertion with constant minimal or sedentary style work. There is frequent exposure to extreme cold, extreme heat, temperature changes, industrial noises, and occasional exposure to wet conditions and changes in atmospheric conditions.


    The constant physical demands of the position are sitting, talking, and hearing.

    The frequent physical demands of the position are walking and repetitive motions.

    The occasional physical demands of the position are standing, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
