    This is no run of the mill electrician's job. As BrewDog's brewery maintenance electrician you will work with our production engineer and maintenance mechanic to ensure that our state of the art brewery ticks like clockwork. You are a self-motivated and versatile individual able to work with a variety of stake holders to support the production of brilliant craft beers. Excited by opportunity and challenge, you’re happy working on your feet and are a team player adept at problem solving and willing to assist other members of the maintenance team as needed. Calm and logical under pressure, you’re highly adaptable and your favourite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle is most likely to be Donatello. You will be responsible for installing and commissioning new equipment and ensuring that any electrical equipment issues are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner according to industry best practice and adhering to SOP. In this role you will perform repairs and installations and be required to interpret technical drawings and troubleshoot PLC's. You will possess an interest in learning about the brewing process and related equipment, possess a batman like utility belt and have a thirst for epic craft beers.

    Responsibilities

    • Install and commission new plant, ensuring health and safety standards are met and SOP are understood and carried out in a timely fashion by all relevant stakeholders
    • Assist in the regular maintenance of packaging, processing and utility equipment as required to ensure the efficient and safe running of all production systems
    • PLC and SCADA troubleshooting
    • Preventative maintenance of plant on site
    • Being a dynamic and responsive part of the improvement projects team on site, with a willingness to undertake mechanical maintenance on a semi regular basis should assistance be required.

    Experience

    • Experience of working on plant in an FMCG or similar environment, in particular PLCs and variable speed drives/3 phase motors
    • Qualified apprentice in electrical engineering or HNC and suitable experience
    • Training in mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC/ refrigeration and hydraulic system repair experience is a plus.
    • Work in preventative maintenance and repairs will be looked upon favourably.
    • Experience with PLC and SCADA systems is a bonus, as well as experience with three phase installations.
