    Bottle Logic is looking for a cellar person to join our family and help us brew more of our award-winning and fantastic flavor exploring beers!

    The right candidate will possess enthusiasm for all aspects of beer production, a passion for cleaning and organization, and an unmatched creativity of wit, style, and substance.

    This position includes responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of brewing operations. Other duties include assisting with packaging, quality control, safety, draft maintenance, and inventory. You will also have the opportunity to help develop new recipes on our 1.5 barrel pilot system.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain a sanitary brewing environment by cleaning and organizing all areas of the brewery.
    • Beer transfers/prep for packaging.
    • Ship and receive products.
    • Assisting brewers with day to day tasks including brewing operations.
    • Receive, organize, mill, and inventory grains.
    • Organize cold room.
    • CIP of fermenters/bright tanks.
    • Maintain a safe and regulatory compliant work environment.
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, tanks and work areas.
    • Participate in beer festivals and events.
    • Accurate daily record keeping and sampling of process and product.
    • Operate CNC mill for production of tap handles.
    • Assist in safety compliance and QA/QC.
    • Learn and adhere to standard operating and safety procedures in wort production, vessel cleaning and sanitation, yeast handling, fermentation and maturation, sample collecting and filtration operations.
    • Understand and adhere to recipes and formulas.
    • Be willing to perform all tasks involved in the packaging process, including: labeling, bottling, and washing and filling kegs.
    • Troubleshoot and report all mechanical issues.
    • Clean and maintain draft lines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Enthusiasm for the brewing process and desire to advance in the brewing industry.
    • Must be in good physical condition and able to maneuver in confined spaces.
    • Ability to sit/stand/bend/walk and maintain manual dexterity for duration of work period.
    • Must be able & willing to work morning, midday, overnight and/or weekend shifts.
    • Able to lift 55 lbs. and move at least 165 lbs., and work in extreme hot and cold environments.
    • Extremely high level of attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations and requirements.
    • Possess good beer knowledge and a good sense of smell, distinguishing flavors and colors in beer.
    • Possess strong technical/mechanical expertise and have the ability to troubleshoot and fix brewing and bottling equipment.
    • Be able to collaborate with the team and have a strong desire to help create spectacular beer.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely with respect to all Bottle Logic’s personnel at all levels, in addition to customers and suppliers.
    • Be 21 years or older.
    • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

    Education/Experience

    • Experience and understanding of the brewing process, sanitation, yeast health and fermentation, beer transfer and clarification and brewery quality control procedures.
    • Knowledge of mechanical and industrial systems is preferred.
    • Professional experience at a commercial brewery is preferred.
    • Experience with barrel aging is strongly preferred.

    Off-topic, but just wanted to say that I was in Anaheim a couple weeks ago and stopped in. The beer was great. Especially loved the Pils.
