I've decided to go with a quarry tile floor in my 7bbl brewery. It's being installed over precast concrete slabs, which are on trusses over a basement, so I'm a little concerned with movement/expansion.
I've spoken with 4 different installers. 2 said I should use a decoupling membrane (Ditra Mat, specifically) and 2 said it's a waste of money.
So I was hoping to find out if anyone has experience with it, or if you've gone without and have had cracking issues with your floor, or if you've had quarry tile in your brewery for 300 years and it never cracked.
