I posted this on beeradvocate.com and was told this would be a better forum:
I'm curious, what is the usual career path for a brewer assuming he/she does not start their own brewery and started by getting a degree from a program like Seibel, UC Davis, ABG, etc.?
How much (generally) do they make at each level of their career projection?
How long are they at each level?
What sort of skills need they display to advance to the next level?
I'd love to hear about the lifestyle of a professional brewer as it is one that I envy and could potentially look at going into.
And along the same lines, I'm sure there are graduates of all three brewing courses I mentioned above on this forum, I'd also love to get some feedback on the courses. What benefits does one course offer over another? What disadvantages? Etc.?
Thanks so much in advance.
