    JOB TITLE: Shipping Manager
    LOCATION: Logistics Center
    REPORTS TO: Logistics Manager
    POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Salaried
    EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 1/29/2015-2/22/2015

    SUMMARY: The Shipping Manager will report to the Logistics Manager. This Position is responsible for leading the Shipping Team along with management of all receiving, storage and shipment of finished goods.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.
    •Ensure Shipping Team is adhering to all Bell’s standards of Quality, and Productivity.
    •Conduct all reporting and investigation of Safety incidents related to Shipping Operations with Safety Manager.
    •Manage all Shipping Operations including fulfillment, shipment, invoicing of Customer (Distributor) orders, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy. Coordinate supporting documentation with multiple departments.
    •Delegate and assign tasks as needed to be performed by the Shipping Operations Leader and Shipping Associates.
    •Ensure all warehouse equipment and tools are functioning properly, including coordination of all repairs needed with Global Services Department.
    •Manage and evaluate all staffing needs from a personal and time coverage perspective, ensuring all internal Operations (Beer Production & Packaging) support and Distributor needs are met.
    •Coordinate with Beer Traffic Controller revised Shipping appointments and dock times with Customers (Distributors), including communications with Transportation Companies and Shipping Team.
    •Manage all Inventory Cycle Counts with Shipping Team, including but not limited to monthly, weekly, and daily requirements.
    •Coordinate all new and current on-the-job training and education for Shipping Team, including coordination and assistance with the onboarding process and all continuous education.
    •Assist Operations Leader with requests for vacation and personal time-off.
    •Participate in performance evaluations of all Shipping Associates including designation of S.M.A.R.T. Goals.
    •Regularly attend all Production Operations related meetings.
    •Assist Sales Team and Distributors to ensure all needs are being met as it relates to shipments.
    •Assist Quality Team with product holds, quarantines, recoveries, and releases to ensure our standards of quality are being met.
    •Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Integrated Supply Management, or Business Administration.
    •7-9 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Shipping, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and/or Logistics Management.
    •Strong Background in the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Access (HANS).
    •Prior experience operating a forklift (certification preferred, but training will be provided if needed).

    •While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, use a computer and other office equipment.
    •Must be physically capable of occasionally standing and walking for long periods of time.
    •The Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 lbs.
    •Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell.
    •Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    •Work is primarily performed in a warehouse setting as well as in an office environment with occasional trips to other areas required.
