Development fee for recipe

Hi all,
We are a nano in connecticut. There is a bar nearby that we are considering brewing a house beer for. Wondering if it is common to charge a development fee, and what numbers we should be looking for...or if it's even legal.

we have several places we do this for we regester the beer under are brewery we pay the taxes
what we do is just charge them for the beer in kegs and tell them they must take the whole batch now i use are pilet system for it so 60gal batch isnt bad
we make a little money off it we dont charge them a fee they help come up with the name but we have the rights to it so if we wanted to do bigger batches and sell it we can
