    JOB TITLE: General Cellarman and Packaging Technician

    Job Summary:
    This person assists and supports brewery operations across all aspects of the brewing and packaging processes
    including fermentation, transfers, canning and kegging, as well as general upkeep of brewery. This job requires a
    high-energy individual comfortable with multi-tasking, attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic
    environment. Must have a focus on workplace safety at all times.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Cellar-Specific):
    • Assist in day-to-day brewery operations
    • Assist in brewery cellars, brewhouse, and packaging area
    • Monitor fermentation by reading and logging gravities and temps of beer daily
    • CIP of small parts regularly
    • CIP of fermenters/bright tanks
    • Ensure next shift is ready for their duties (CO2 levels, hoses, grain bins)
    • Communicate with brewery teams in clear, timely manner
    • Transfer beer to bright tanks and yeast transfers to fermenters
    • Crash tanks, dry hop tanks, dump yeast as needed
    • Organize inventory of materials
    • Assist with maintenance and overall cleanliness of entire brewery and cellar including tank exteriors, floors,
    and milling room
    • Train newly personnel in proper equipment operation
    • Work on a ladder periodically with safety harness up to height of 18 feet
    • Support retail taproom staff as needed and assigned
    • Represent the brewery at events, festivals, and promotions
    • Represent the brewery in a professional manner at all times
    • Assist in packaging area as needed
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Packaging-Specific):
    • Operate and maintain Cask automated canning line, Paktech handle applicator machine and all other
    associated canning line machinery
    • Operate and maintain kegging line
    • Keep and maintain packaging records
    • Keep and maintain product shipping records
    • CIP canning and kegging lines
    • Clean brewery facilities, kegging, and canning areas on a regular schedule
    • Train new canning/kegging line personnel in proper machine operation and safety procedures
    • Stack cans and kegs
    • Prepare orders, load and unload distributor trucks
    • Recognize low fills and improperly filled/packaged product
    • Support retail taproom staff as needed and assigned
    • Organize inventory of shells, lids, boxes, caps, collars, handles, wrap, picks, glue, and stickers
    • Assist in brewhouse and cellar as needed
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
    • Absolute passion for brewing and the craft beer industry
    • Strict attention to detail
    • Strong knowledge of the brewing process
    • High-quality work standards with and without direct supervision
    • Ability to understand and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Material Safety Data
    Sheets (MSDS)
    • Maintain punctuality and predictable attendance to ensure schedule stays on track
    • Abide by proper and safe operations of every machine in work area and follow all safety rules
    • Ability to lift 55 lbs. to shoulder-height repeatedly
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 170 lbs., reach over shoulders, and
    perform repetitive motions without issue
    • Promote “get it done no matter what” positive attitude
    • Desire to learn, grow, and take on increased responsibility
    • Learn to operate forklift
    • Adapt to changes in brewing, packaging, and production schedules
    • Ensure preventative maintenance procedures occur accurately and routinely
    • Report, repair, adjust and replace defective machine parts
    • Have a current driver’s license
