  • Walk-in cooler door gaskets

Anyone have a good source for these? Two of our man-doors were made by Isoloc mfg, Vancouver, WA--which apparently no longer exists, so they'll need to be custom made.

Look up an outfit called Gaskets Rock. They can custom build just about anything and the quality is stated to be better than OEM.
I have the number at work if you need.

Damn. Gaskets Rock doesn't make custom gaskets--they need make, model, and serial #. Our doors have only the make--Isoloc.

I've been butting my head against this same problem with our other antique coolers--particularly our reach-in, a beautiful art-deco(ish) glass-door Polaris. Seems no one in the refrigeration parts business can take a picture, measurements, etc, and find a part that matches.

        Still hunting....

          Tim,

Have you contacted Dwight at Brewerygaskets? I know its not his usual line of gaskets, but I've had a lot of luck getting custom gaskets made from them. It might be worth the phone call

Good thinking. I've been buying quite a few gasket from Dwight lately. I'll drop him a line!

Timm, thats kind of not what my experience exactly was....hmm.
May need to see if I have a contact as last time round he asked me for dimensions in addition to the other info as they cut things from quantity. I would think, if you have the profile, that they could make it happen. I can check Monday on my contact name if you like.
There are ways to do it yourself but I would think one of these sources could make it happen with the necessary info and photographs.

                Thanks again, Warren.

I have made my own gaskets in the past, but I don't have--or haven't found--a good way to join the corners and ends, so the gaskets are leaky.

Not sure if you've looked at these guys, but they have a pretty big stock of walk-in and refrigerator gaskets:

If you're not sure which gasket you need, for a buck they'll send you a string of 1 inch samples of all the profiles they stock ( http://www.coolergaskets.com/sample-gasket-ring/ ). They'll weld the corners for you. I haven't used them personally, however.

                  Mike

Thanks, Mike--those folks seem to have a larger selection of profiles than others I've been looking at.

                      Kason cooler seals

after searching and failing to find the correct rubber gasket profile, I went to the manufacturer for the full "door seal kit" that includes the plastic backer piece and the rubber. They won't sell just the rubber by itself. Kason sells our 8x8 door kit for $170. contact:
