Hi all,
I ordered 3/4" solenoids just before my tanks arrived. I didn't even think to check with the manufacturer and it turns out the glycol ports are all 1". I have 4 10bbl fermenters. Does anyone see any problems with reducing the inlets down to 3/4" and sticking with the 3/4" solenoids? I realize the flowrate will not be as good, but I've read that 3/4" is common on tanks larger than 10 bbls. If I do reduce the inlet to 3/4", would it be better to keep the outlet at 1" back to the return header? Or would it be best to return the solenoids and spend the extra money for 1" solenoids and piping?
Any input is welcome.
Thanks!
