  • Biofine supplier in UK or Ireland?

Does anyone know where I can source Biofine over here? I had heard awhile back the Brewers Supply Group were opening a UK division, but I don't know if that has happened / is happening.

    Cheers.

    Ireland

Lucky for you, i think they make it in Ireland. Find KERRY.
I was able to find it in countries way more remote without any problem.

Thanks brewbot. I thought the same thing, but their website isn't very user friendly. Or I am terrible with computers...I'll give 'em a ring.

      Cheers.

        Forget Kerry...

Worst customer service ever. Even if you manage to speak with someone there, they will just ask you to contact the distributor of their products in "your country". Consider Nalco 1072. Same stuff with way easier availability and much better customer service. Cheaper, too.

I just posted this in another thread and thought you might like the links to European producers:

            Check out http://www.erbsloeh.com/en/products/.../clarification in Germany

Brausol P is good stuff. http://www.erbsloeh.com/product_data...olP_GB_002.pdf

            or

            Spindasol in Italy http://www.aeb-group.com/or4/or?oid=81275

It is more or less the same stuff as Biofine I assume.

Have a chat with Vickers AB (Burton) or Murphys (Nottingham). Although neither list such a mix on their websites, I am sure in the past that Vickers have supplied finings / silica gel mix to, admittedly, jumbo breweries. Otherwise you could make up your own buying small quantities of silica gel, making up to the appropriate slurry consistency and then using this to dilute triple strength finings. A bit messy I realise, but this way you can adjust the mix to best suit your beers. Addition rate 20 - 40 g / 100 litres, perhaps more depending on brewing conditions and shelf life required.
