    Temblor Brewing Company is a 20 BBL Production brewery with a large brewpub and event venue in Bakersfield CA. We are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Control Manager whose purpose will be to provide quantitative analysis of all beer produced at the brewery. This includes the monitoring and assessment of product and processes from raw materials to finished goods. This job will include assisting with production, canning and bottling operations to ensure we are delivering only the best finished product to our consumers.

    Job Duties

    Lab:
    Develop and maintain a lab & quality control program. This includes yeast management and harvesting. Setting proper mill gaps and grain specs. Petri dish swabs from tanks and finished product. Dissolved oxygen management in packaged products.

    Production Management:
    Help write production schedule with the Head Brewer and the Business Manager based on existing inventory and orders from distributors. This will involve working with an inventory management program called EKOS. This will also involve scheduling packaging runs and crewing to run the line.

    Assistant Brewer:
    This will involve knowing all aspects of the brewing process from grain to glass. The goal will be to develop the Assistant Brewer so he/she can provide relief for the Head Brewer and fill in during multiple brew days.

    Packaging Assistant:
    On days when packaging runs are scheduled assist with making sure all duties are completed that day.

    Represent Company:
    If needed and if desired to help work festivals and other events for the company. This is a non-paid role but is a “perk” of being on the brew staff. This is not mandatory but greatly appreciated.

The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and be able to move kegs which weigh close to 165 pounds.

    Compensation:
    1-Salary-To be determined based on experience.
    2-Meals-A meal will be provided for over 6 hr shifts.
    3-Beer-Shift pours of 2 beers allowed per shift
