Does any one use a pressure washer to knock down their krausen ring, or for mash tun cleaning etc...? I'm thinking this could be a good time and water saver. I would love to hear opinions, and or pressure washers that people are using with their hot liquor.

Thanks, Cheers!

that would be quite a mess to do that we hot water rinse thru the spray ball to knock down that ring. I was always told you should never have to manually scrub a tank and I have not for years 12+. if you cant get it clean using chemicals you are doing something wrong or you have a bad product

Yeah, I hot water rinse through the sprayball as well. Usually I feed the sprayball with water from my on demand water heaters, there is still a lot of crud after this. Chemicals do take care of it, but being on my own septic system, I would rather use less water and chemicals if possible.

Thanks for more comments,

Our guys power wash the Wedgewire bottom at intervals.
Stay away from the " Water Cannon " brand. They are mickey mouse and badly engineered
Vertical Shaft engines are better than horizontal for this application based on my experience.

Look into an Aladdin washer. Electric ones work good no need for an engine. Have heard good reviews of hotsy
