Applicant must have 1 year experience in craft beer sales or have worked for a distributor in the craft beer market.
Applicant must live in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, or Southern Indiana and have reliable transportation.
The primary goal is to sell our damn fine beer and convert non-buyers into believers. You’ll do this through setting up promotions, features and displays, educating our wholesalers and consumers, managing wholesaler inventories, checking code dates and rotating products at retail, develop weekly plans and recap reports –
Job Responsibilities:
Independent, Reliable and Responsible.
-Manage individual time and activities while effectively planning and controlling selling expense
Ability to be focused on meeting sales goals
-Achieve budgeted monthly and annual sales volume goals.
-Maintain responsible expense planning to achieve target dollar selling cost per dollar of sales.
-Accuracy and on-schedule completion of reports and account records
Strong customer service is a must.
-Aggressively pursue new accounts while maintaining strong customer service with current accounts.
-Manage relationships at key accounts while identifying and targeting growth accounts
-Develop key account staff craft beer knowledge and ability to represent Carson's Brewery though tasting and account staff education sessions
Distributor Management:
-Working closely with our distributors including ride-along and sales performance initiatives.
-Organizing and executing events including beer dinners, tap takeovers, festivals, tasting events, and samplings
-Documentation of all interaction with customers and prospects in the Carson's Brewery "Go to Market" Strategies
-Provide regular market and channel updates to balance of Carson's Brewery's team
The Must Haves:
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- More than two to three (2-3) years sales experience preferred.
-Service industry and hospitality experience preferred.
-Proven selling, and relationship development skills a must.
-Use of Excel, Word, Outlook.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of the three-tier system, beer distribution.
-Must have access to a personal vehicle and have a good driving record
Compensation Package:
-Salary DOE, Bonus Structure, monthly comp, Phone, 2 weeks PTO, vehicle stipend.
