  • Do you clean new bottles?

If so, how? Without it being a major PITA 😇

I've seen everything from a quick water rinse on city water supply to full three stage CIP. What we do is a quick rinse with Saniclean but we're only doing 1000 or so 750ml once a month. We have a Morebeer spray manifold with three racks that get a 30 second recirc right before filling.

At the very least, you should have a rinser to rinse the bottles with water.
Not because it does much against bacteria (there is little if any in new bottles), but alot of things can happen during transport. If there is a small or large shard of glass, or several, the water will rinse it away.
We are required to rinse with water for that reason alone.

We have installed a .45 micron water filter on our rinser and just use tap water. There is a carbon(GAC) filter upstream as well.
