  • Direct fire ventilation

So I have been looking at purchasing a Brew Sculpture from MoreBeer as a starter to my nano and for ongoing R&D. Both the NG and LP models have warning all over the place saying that it is for outdoor use only. They also advertise a number of large well known breweries using them for test systems. I find it hard to believe that they are all using them outdoors. I assume with proper ventilation these direct fire systems can be used safely indoors? Are there any guidelines for proper ventilation? Same question would apply to Ruby Street's rig as well (which I am also considering).

It is unlikely anyone will publicly talk or even worse recommend about using outdoor burners inside. The last thing anyone wants is for someone to CO them self on is/her direction. That being said be sure you have a functioning CO detector.
