    Sorry, cross posting this from another thread....didn't see this Malt one soon enough. ;-)

    I'm taking a look at some malt spec sheets from Weyermann and it lists two different color ratings, "Wort Color" and "Boiled Wort Color".

    Though boiled wort color is more "interesting", I need to compare this info with that from spec sheets from other companies. What is the color listed on most US malt spec sheets? "Wort Color" or "Boiled Wort Color".

    Malt Color

    If you see wort color on a malt spec. sheet it should always be pre-boil. If it is boiled wort color it will be specified as such. North American maltsters don't tend to routinely analyze boiled wort color.
