  • Polish Hops

I have just come by some Marynka and Lublin (Lubelski) hops an d was wondering if any of you folks have used them before and what the results were.
What flavour profiles did you get and what rates did you use them at.

I have in mind to brew a blonde beer for a wedding in August,

Any help would be most appreciated

It has been over 10 years since I last used Lublin. I do recall the flavor/aroma profile being very similar to Saaz. Also, if I remember correctly, the Alpha Acid content then was very low < 2%. That's all my small brain has left in it. Good luck!

Lublin is Saaz grown in Poland. I have some of 2005's crop and the AA content was 3.8% on my lot.

Marynka is a nice workhorse hop with a noble-like profile. I believe the AA content was 7.6% for what I have. It's excellent as a bittering hop and used for many Continental lagers.
