    Boiling/Caramelizing first wort runnings

    Running a 5bbl direct fire kettle and was thinking about trying to boil/caramelize the first wort running's about 3bbl before I can turn the heat on. I was wondering if anybody has ever tried this. My thought is I would create some complex flavours or sugars....
