  • Where do you get your 70% Isopropyl?

Has anyone found a better/cheaper or more convenient source for 70% iso? We've been getting ours at a local store for about $4 a quart at a local store, but they don't always have it in stock, and it seems like there's got to be a better way. I can't seem to find a good price on bulk anywhere.

I get a dozen pint size containers of the 70% for $33 from ULINE, http://www.uline.com/BL_6718/Alcohol-Peroxide. I think that works out to about $2.75/qt.

    Edit: Oops. That's $5.50/qt, $2.75/pint.

    Nevermind.

      Booze

Check out a local distillery to see if you can get the Tails from their run off. We trade a few bottles of beer to take it off their hands.

You can get this from a regular chemical supplier. I get a 5 gal pail of 95% ipa and it lasts a long time. I really don't suggest using distillers tails

You can get 99% from duda diesel in 5 gal pails $130 for 5 gals shipped.

I used to buy it by 55gal drum when I owned a printing business a few years back. Know any commercial printers?

We sell 70% Isopropanol FCC grade in both 55 Gallon drums and 4x1 Gallon cases. Send me an e-mail and I will happily send you a quote.

I get 70% and 91% isopropyl at Target for ~$2.50 per quart. They generally have a ton so I buy 20 bottles or so at a time. I think you can get it online and have it delivered as well.
