  • SF Bay UC Davis Educated Brewer for Hire

    Hello,

My name is Austin, I completed the UC Davis brewing program last year. I have the blessing and personal recommendation from the pope of foam himself, Dr. Charles Bamforth. I got hired out the program to work for the great brewpub, Oak Park Brewing in Sacramento as an assistant brewer/cellar person. I worked for them a little over a year. During my time I got production experience brewing, along with a little bit of everything else from bar tending to sales/marketing and deliveries. I also got to introduce two of my own recipes, to great success, while there; An almond joy coconut porter and a grape must infused and aged on oak Belgian dark strong. I've also formed many strong with relationships with people in the industry around the Sacramento area during that time. I'm a certified Cicerone Beer Server, and an MBAA certified beer steward as well.

I'm now back in the San Francisco bay area, specifically Danville, looking to work a little closer to home and take on a bigger role, however slight, with another brewing company. I have reliable transportation and can commute around the area be it San Jose, San Francisco, Napa, or Fairfield. If you have any questions just ask, I can email you my resume' and am always willing to talk over a beer.

Thanks for looking, look forward to hearing from everyone, cheers!

    -Austin
