Anderson Valley Brewing Co in Boonville CA is looking for a packaging manager

The Packaging Manager will be responsible for the following:
• Consistently work on packaging shifts running machinery and managing staff and machines to make the highest quality packaged beer possible.
• Select, manage, and train all packaging personnel.
• Thorough record-keeping
• Continued development of SOPs for packaging positions.
• Work with Head Brewer, and QA Lab to improve package quality/shelf life.
• Work with maintenance manager/Filler Tech to implement and oversee preventative maintenance on packaging machinery.
• Quickly identify and communicate existing or potential issues.
• Work with the maintenance department to maintain proper and orderly packaging parts inventory
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Position reports to Brewery Operations Director

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years production brewery experience
•Technical knowledge in all of the packaging process
• A good general knowledge of the brewing process
• Strong mechanical background
• A good understanding of sanitation
• Experience working with carbonated beverage packaging equipment
• Experience managing employees
• Knowledge of OSHA & safety standards
• Engineering/manufacturing experience
• A knowledge of and passion for craft beer
