Brand new state of the art 15 BBL Brewhouse located in a really cool 10,000 square foot building seeking a head brewer in the gorgeous town of Warwick, NY. We are seeking a head brewer with at least 3-4 years experience at a premier brewery.
Primarily we want to brew: traditional clean hoppy beers, NEIPAs, saisons, belgians, american sours, and big imperial stouts/porters. We are also very dedicated to a creating a big barrel aging program, which includes multiple foeders. The head brewer should have a lot of experience in these styles, and a relentless desire to continue innovating; constantly seeking new flavors and brewing techniques.
Other Requirements
• Ability to flawlessly brew styles previously mentioned
• Strong science background, ability to install and run a quality control lab
• Experience with a 15 bbl system, experience with foeders/oak aging beer, experience with canning line, etc.
• Ability to maintain and make moderate repairs to equipment
• Inventory management
• Good communication and people skills
• Work without supervision (duh)
• Be willing to train cellarman, assistants and others
• Able to handle the physical requirements associated with brewing and production
• Willingness to attend festivals, or represent the brand at other events from time to time
• Basic computer skills
