  • Cask SAMS - issue with filling heads

    Hi

i'm having a problem with my Cask SAMS canning machine and not getting far with Cask support - thought i'd check here for ideas......

I am not getting any fluid out of the fill heads (any of them). Same issue whether it is a manual fill or trying automatic.

The relays are all lighting up inside the panel but when I do the coil test I don't get any flow out of any of the coils (beer or foam).

The machine ran earlier in the day for a canning run - it is just now that I've come to cleaning that nothing is happening.....

Any ideas gratefully received... I've run out of them and now trying to clean the machine manually.....

    Thanks
    David

I ran a cast for a few years.

1 You have beer water on top of the your height sensor plate. Just rinse and below off with air.
2 You limiter switch on the filler head is set to low an the head is went to far above, check the upper lift limiter to see if it in the green. If not the readjust it till you get green on the limiter switch.

    I hope this help.

      Thanks Mike

I don't know where I should be looking for this / what should be green. Can you let me know where the limiter switch is ?

You should have better luck contacting CASK tomorrow when they get back to work after the weekend. There are also a lot of CASK users in NSW who would give you some advice.

Don’t get me wrong - the Cask guys are being helpful, just distance, timezones, the weekend and the thought of leaving the canning machine full of sticky beer sent me looking here for anyone who might have had the same problem / who might have ideas !

If I remember the switch id on the top right side of the fill head on the right shaft. The switch will most likely be orange or red since it is set to short or to far.

              now resolved

After a lot of head scratching, and calling an electrician in, with the help of cask support we managed to trace this to a faulty connection in a breaker on the board.

              Thanks for your help
