    JOB TITLE: Store Inventory Clerk
    LOCATION: General Store, Kalamazoo, MI
    REPORTS TO: Store Inventory Manager
    FLSA POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
    SHIFT: 1st shift Thursday- Monday
    EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 01/29/2018-02/18/2018

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Store Inventory Clerk is responsible for keeping all items fully stocked in the General Store. This position controls store inventory space through audits and physical counts and receives all store shipments.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery
    •Stocks the General Store on a daily basis to ensure products are available and accuracy of stocking reports; cleans displays as necessary.
    •Enters regular purchases and transfers of homebrew supplies and apparel inventory into Store inventory management systems.
    •Regularly performs inventory cycle counts on inventory and logs changes.
    •Receives all inventory shipments; unloads, opens, unpacks, tags, organizes, and issues sales floor merchandise.
    •Stocks incoming inventory and creates new bins and bin locations for new product.
    •Checks shipments upon arrival to ensure order specifications are accurate.
    •Regularly audits bin locations and organizes the warehouse in an efficient manner.
    •Ensures the organization and cleanliness of the inventory warehouse.
    •Works with Online Store Fulfillment Clerks to pack online store orders, as needed.
    •Works with General Store Leads and Store Inventory Manager to spot trends and suggest new products.
    •Assists with keg and homebrew orders as needed.
    •Works with vendors and the online store staff to replenish low stock items.
    •Transfers stock from other locations to general store, as needed

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary

    •Must possess a valid driver’s license
    •Must be available and able to work the Thursday-Monday weekly schedule

    •Handcart
    •Grain mill
    •Growler station
    •Forklift
    •Company vehicle

    IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    •Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work load to balance multiple projects
    •A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player and capable of working with minimal supervision
    •Quick thinker with strong problem solving and analytical skills
    •Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    •Flexibility and adaptability to an ever-changing environment

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •2+ years’ experience in customer service, preferably in merchandising or retail.
    •Prior experience with inventory control and/or stocking.
    •Prior experience and confidence using Microsoft Office and other spreadsheet software
    •Extensive beer knowledge
    •Knowledge of home brewing process

    •Ability to be on your feet and walk a majority of the time. Walking surfaces may be wet and/or slippery.
    •Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 58 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs, and occasionally maneuver 165 lb kegs.
    •Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
    •Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    •Ability to stay focused during long hours.

    •The employee often works in a retail setting and cooler storage areas.
    •The employee often works in a warehouse workspace.
    •The employee often works outdoors.
    •The noise level in certain parts of the brewery is occasionally loud (80+ dB).
    •The employee works near moving mechanical parts.
    •Alcohol serving environment.
