    Glycol chiller size for fermenters

Can someone help me with sizing a glycol chiller? I am brewing ale and have three 14 bbl and two 7 bbl jacketed fermenters (grundys and double stacked grundys). Maximum load will be crashing two 14 bbl fermenters simultaneously (68 to 34 degrees) while maintaining temp on the others. How many BTUs do I need on the cooler?

    Thanks!

I came up with a BTU Load around 22,000 BTU/HR. My suggestion would be a 5 HP Chiller System but you might be able to get by with a 3HP.

Our 5 HP is rated for about 33,000 BTU/HR
the 3 HP is rated for just over 20,000 BTU/HR

Let me know if you'd like a quotation, good luck!
