  • Source for Lyle's Syrup

Wanting to add some Lyle's syrup to a batch. Anyone have a source for, say, 5-10 gallons?

While not Lyle's Golden Syrup, here is a source for another English produced golden syrup

They have a 25kg pail which might be right up your alley.

      invert sugar

As far as I can remember Lyls syrup is an invert sucrose syrup. You can get invert sugars from from most of the bakery/candy suppliers ie cargill etc. You could also pick up a 50lb bag of table sugar heat it with some lemon juice and a touch of water until it turns the right color. And then you just made golden syrup!

        Heavyweight

You could try contacting Tom Baker, perhaps, formerly of Heavyweight Brewing Co. He used Lyles in his Old Salty Barleywine. He just started Earth Bread and Brewery near Philly. http://www.earthbreadbrewery.com/
Hope he doesn't mind that I gave you his name... =)
